Carcharodontosauridae

The "shark-toothed lizards" — colossal allosauroid predators that grew as large as, or larger than, T. rex. Long, low skulls carried blade-like serrated teeth built for slicing rather than crushing, and for a time they were the apex hunters of the southern continents, taking on the giant sauropods they lived alongside.
